Buddy Bolden Committed to Louisiana State Insane Asylum

Buddy Bolden, the founding genius of jazz, was committed to the Louisiana State Insane Asylum at age 30, ending the career of the first recognized jazz musician. He would die there in 1931, uncelebrated and unrecorded.
