Rube Foster Builds Chicago American Giants into Dominant Team

Andrew 'Rube' Foster established the Chicago American Giants in 1911, building one of the dominant Black baseball teams of the era. Foster combined exceptional managerial skill with his own legendary pitching career, attracting the best Black players in the country. His success laid the organizational and financial groundwork for the Negro National League he would found in 1920.
