Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Expands Chapters Nationwide

Alpha Phi Alpha, the first intercollegiate Black Greek-letter fraternity founded at Cornell in 1906, established chapters at multiple HBCUs and Northern universities by 1912, creating a network of educated Black male leadership. The fraternity became a training ground for civil rights leaders and professionals throughout the twentieth century.
