National Association of Colored Women Expands Anti-Lynching Work

The National Association of Colored Women (NACW), led by figures including Mary Church Terrell and later Mary B. Talbert, intensified its anti-lynching activism and suffrage work during World War I. The NACW organized across the country under the motto 'Lifting as We Climb,' providing social services, education, and political advocacy for Black women and families.
