The Negro World Becomes Most Widely Circulated Black Newspaper Internationally

By 1920, Marcus Garvey's weekly newspaper The Negro World had become one of the most widely circulated Black newspapers in the world, with readership across the U.S., Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. Published in English, Spanish, and French, it spread UNIA ideology internationally. Colonial authorities in several African nations banned it as seditious.
