Duke Ellington Makes His Publishing and Recording Debut

In November 1924, Duke Ellington made his publishing and recording debut with 'Choo Choo (I Got To Hurry Home)' released on the Blu-Disc label. This earliest recorded documentation of Ellington's compositional voice came during his Kentucky Club years, before his national breakthrough at the Cotton Club in 1927.
