Carter G. Woodson Publishes The Mis-Education of the Negro

Woodson's scathing critique argued that American education deliberately alienated Black people from their own history and culture, producing graduates who served white institutional interests. The book remains one of the most widely read texts in African American intellectual life and has never gone out of print.
