Atlanta University Center Consolidates as Leading HBCU Complex

The Atlanta University Center — comprising Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark College, Atlanta University, Morris Brown College, and Interdenominational Theological Center — functioned as the most concentrated complex of Black higher education in the world during the 1950s, training the generation of leaders who would drive the civil rights movement.
