Sam Cooke Records 'A Change Is Gonna Come'
Cooke's gospel-infused civil rights anthem, inspired by Bob Dylan's 'Blowin' in the Wind' and Cooke's own experiences with segregation, became one of the defining songs of the era. Released posthumously in December 1964, it remains one of the greatest American songs ever recorded.
