Legends of Jazz Piano Mary Lou Williams Archive Established

Following the death of jazz pianist and composer Mary Lou Williams in 1981, her archive is established at Rutgers University. Williams, who bridged swing, bebop, and avant-garde jazz over six decades, is recognized as one of the most significant figures in jazz history.
