HBCU Enrollment Reaches Record Levels

Enrollment at historically Black colleges and universities reaches record levels in the late 1980s, partly spurred by the Cosby Show's celebration of HBCUs, ongoing work by Johnetta B. Cole at Spelman College, and increased federal funding, reversing a decline feared after desegregation.
