Edward P. Jones Wins Pulitzer Prize for The Known World

Washington DC writer Edward P. Jones won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for The Known World, his novel about Black slaveholders in antebellum Virginia, which also won the National Book Critics Circle Award and was hailed as a masterwork of American historical fiction.
