Stacey Abrams's gubernatorial campaign drives historic Black voter registration

Stacey Abrams became the first Black major-party gubernatorial nominee in U.S. history in Georgia. Although she narrowly lost in a race marred by voter suppression allegations, her campaign registered over 800,000 new Georgia voters through her Fair Fight organization, transforming Georgia's electoral map and laying groundwork for the Democrats' 2020 Senate victories.
