Beyoncé releases Lemonade as a visual album

Lemonade debuted at number one in fourteen countries and is widely regarded as the definitive artistic statement on Black womanhood, infidelity, ancestry, and resilience in the twenty-first century. The accompanying film, featuring poetry by Warsan Shire and imagery rooted in Black Southern tradition, elevated the album to the status of cultural monument.
