Harriet Tubman Speaks at First National Association of Colored Women Convention

In her 70s, Harriet Tubman attended the founding convention of the National Association of Colored Women in 1896 and remained active in the women's suffrage movement until near her death. She was a founding member of the New England Women Suffrage Association and traveled extensively to speak for women's voting rights.
