Harriet Tubman Completes Thirteen Underground Railroad Missions

Between 1849 and 1860 Harriet Tubman made approximately thirteen missions into slave territory, personally guiding more than 70 people to freedom via the Underground Railroad. She was never caught and never lost a passenger, earning the name 'Moses.' Her courage became a living legend and model of resistance and liberation.
