John Coltrane records A Love Supreme

Recorded in a single session at Van Gelder Studio, A Love Supreme is widely regarded as the greatest jazz album ever made and one of the supreme artistic statements in American music. The spiritual suite expressed Coltrane's devotion to God and expanded jazz's expressive possibilities beyond all prior limits.
