Loretta Lynch — first Black woman US Attorney General

Loretta Lynch was confirmed as the 83rd Attorney General of the United States, becoming the first African American woman to serve as the nation's top law enforcement officer. She succeeded Eric Holder, making it the first time two consecutive attorneys general were Black.
