Black Educators and Ministers Targeted for Political Organizing

Black teachers, ministers, and community leaders who organize voter registration or speak against lynching face dismissal, assault, and murder. State education boards dismiss politically active Black teachers. Congregations whose ministers discuss rights lose their buildings. The pattern deliberately decapitates Black political leadership in communities across the South.
