Church Committee Exposes Full Scope of COINTELPRO Operations

The Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations (Church Committee) published findings documenting COINTELPRO's systematic targeting of Black organizations including the SCLC, SNCC, Nation of Islam, and Black Panther Party. The committee documented forged letters, paid informants, and operations designed to 'neutralize' Black leaders through 'harassment, discrediting, and disruption.'
