Malice Green Beaten to Death by Detroit Police

Detroit police officers Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn beat Malice Green, a 35-year-old Black man, to death with flashlights outside a suspected crack house on Warren Avenue. Green was struck at least 14 times in the head. Both officers were convicted of second-degree murder in 1993. The case drew comparisons to the Rodney King beating.
