Memphis Sanitation Workers Win NLRB Reinstatement After Race Discrimination

Throughout the early 1970s, Black municipal workers across the South successfully challenged racially discriminatory layoff and seniority practices through EEOC and NLRB complaints following the precedent set by the Memphis sanitation strike.
