Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Lakers on June 12, 1991 to win their first NBA championship. Jordan was named Finals MVP, completing his transformation from spectacular scorer to undisputed champion and beginning a dynasty that would produce six titles over the decade.
