- 2011Stacy Spikes co-founds MoviePass, pioneering subscription cinema
Stacy Spikes co-founded MoviePass in 2011, inventing the subscription model for movie theater attendance that would eventually attract 3 million subscribers. After being removed from the company, he founded PreShow, a rewards-based entertainment platform. Spikes became one of the few Black tech founders to create a widely-adopted consumer product, demonstrating Black innovation in the subscription economy.
